The health conundrum

Mangala Bhavani, Clinical Nutritionist

Food is fuel. Food impacts. Food is the cause. Food is the cure. Food is everything. Consuming a balanced diet is, thus, a one-stop solution for all health challenges. Or so I thought.

In fact, this was the thought process I carried until I started running half marathons.

When I began my career in nutrition, food was indeed everything to me. I was right, though only partially.

All was fine in the beginning, as I could observe certain therapeutic foods working at the root cause of all of my physical conditions.

But as I grew, I suffered a few setbacks and was unable to achieve the health goals I had set for myself.

That was when I started to work with sports professionals and people from rural backgrounds and realized how food and physical activity went hand in hand.

Along with a balanced diet and regular exercise, I have personally experienced the impact two other pillars – positive attitude and adequate rest – had on health.

For the past few years, I have been working on a (w)holistic approach to optimize health and achieve fitness goals by incorporating regular exercise, a positive attitude, adequate rest, and balanced nutrition into our lives.

We at Holistic Wellness believe in and work on these four pillars – each tailor-made to suit an individual. Connect with us if you want to know more.
